Based in Cape Town, AVA-X has won the Defense category at the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit in National Harbor, Maryland. Founder and CEO Armand de Beer pitched alongside eight other defense finalists before U.S. governors, senators, and international investors during the summit held 3 to 6 May 2026, bringing the category title home for South Africa.
